I can't log in to Moodle


If you are an active member of the University of the Aegean (student, faculty, administrative staff, etc.), to log in to https://aegeanmoodle.aegean.gr, you must use your academic account credentials — the same ones you use to access your university email and other university services.

External users (Seminars/Lifelong Learning/KEDIVIM/external collaborators/guests, etc.) who do not have a University of the Aegean account but received their own credentials during registration can click on “Lost password?” on the login screen to reset their password.

Important! The first time you try to log in, you must do so through a browser and not via the Moodle mobile app, because on your first login you need to accept Moodle’s terms of use, and the mobile app does not provide this option, so it will not let you log in!


Specifically for members of the university:

If you are having trouble logging in to Moodle, you should first verify your account information at:
👉 https://checkpassword.aegean.gr

If your account has expired (for security reasons, accounts/passwords expire approximately every 9 months), a relevant message will appear, and you must set a new password* via:
👉 https://webmail.aegean.gr/owa/auth/expiredpassword.aspx (provided you remember your previous password).

If your credentials are incorrect, or you’ve forgotten your password and are experiencing general access issues with University of the Aegean online services, follow the steps below to reset your password:

A) If you are an undergraduate student (admitted after 2016) and remember the details from your initial registration, you can set a new password via:
👉 https://ype.aegean.gr/setyourpass

B) Otherwise (since the Moodle helpdesk does not have permission to reset your password), please contact the IT officer of your department. They are authorized to manage your account and reset your password, following the proper procedure.
